Pediatric Physiotherapy through Play
Children with physical disabilities need frequent therapy to maintain progress, but exercises can feel repetitive and are hard to sustain at home. Therapists and families face challenges maintaining motivation, tracking progress, and adjusting plans between visits. Our system leverages machine learning and motion-based games, through a browser-based platform that turns therapy exercises into interactive mini-games that children can play using everyday devices with a camera, and without the need for any special hardware. Therapists can introduce and customize games, and families continue practicing at home through play.

We are partnering with KidsAbility to co-design these games alongside families and therapists. to evaluate engagement, usability, and clinical adoption using both observation and platform data. Our goal is to demonstrate that this playful therapy model can be integrated into regular clinical care and sustained at home, improving motivation and outcomes for children while reducing caregiver stress.
